No-Sew Felt Frog / Toad Life Cycle – Metamorphosis – No Sew Felt

I found this great transforming Toad made from felt.

So, last night I cut out the pieces and this morning we are playing with them. I also made a second set for to her friend, since they were so easy!

Cut out the frog pieces per the pattern.
Make three extra pieces, Gills (left and right) and a short tail, not depicted on the template.
Use pom poms and googly eyes.

To make the water, simply get  a sheet of gray or white felt. Cut some blue felt and glue on top using Aleene’s Tacky Glue. Then, cut out some pieces to look like rocks. Cut  out a white pieces and draw black dots on it for eggs.

When gluing the eggs under the rocks, only glue the PART of the edges, so it forms a POCKET. Same thing when you apply the rocks over the top of the eggs. Leave a pocket. This way, you can stuff the tadpole into the pocket. Or, the rest of the frog’s body when not in use!

I found a great poster for the frog life cycle at
